Nice nose, the palate brings stewed fruits and raisins. The finish though, woody, tannic, and young spirity finish. Unpleasant. Doesn’t really improve with water. Definitely some young whisky or old worn casks. I wouldn’t purchase again. $150 usd.

Love it. No off notes. Beautiful and complex. I would buy it if I found for retail, but not at the secondary market prices. So I think if you see it for $160, go for it.

When I opened this bottle, I immediately loved it. I’m more of a scotch drinker, so the sherry and cognac finishes definitely hit home and are welcomed. I encouraged all of my whisky friends to buy it. However, as I am half way down the bottle, I get the slight sulfur (dirty mop water) of the sherry barrels that is most unwelcome. So I have to subtract a point and due to the price, would not purchase again.

Tastes like cleaning solution. Faint sweetness. Their cuts are bad. I’m not sure if 5 years more of aging would help. Destined for cocktails maybe.

Compared to the Yamazaki 12 yo, it is a far less complex and interesting dram. Higher sweetness of barley sugar and vanilla icing, tasted more like the Chita grain alcohol. Less fruits and no nice oak finish. I’d rather have one Yamazaki 12 than 2 of these much younger versions.

Amazing 12 year old with in depth fresh fruit including apple. Nice oak finish that is a sweeter oak, not high tannin. Perhaps the mizunara? I bought as many as I could considering the possible replacement with the less impressive NAS bottle.

A great rye. Deep resinous cherry notes. Definite spice and burn. Very good. The price however is prohibitive.

Fascinating malt. Scotch beginnings with a bourbon finish. Slight coffee liquor flavor. One of the most unique whiskies around.

Amazing. Had it in a skyscraper roof-bar in shanghai. Wonderful wood notes, especially after the glass was emptied. Well rounded.

Loved it. Well rounded, slight Sherry, very sweet. It has less oak than the glenfiddich 18. Seems younger than its age, but I love it.
