Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 5, 2020 (edited October 15, 2020)The nose opens up pretty quickly with very strong butterscotch as the dominant scent. High viscosity on the glass and on the tongue. Starts very warm with caramel like taste and texture but finishes hotter than it starts but still keeps a lasting flavor after everything has passed. Not the hottest 100proof out there but stands well on comparison to others. Definitely worth a pour. -
Weller Full Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 16, 2020 (edited October 21, 2020)Very powerful on the nose, heavy oily mouth feel. Lots of very briney notes to it. Obviously it’s a wheated bourbon and that does not try to hide itself. No better or worse than any other full proof out there. -
