Aberfeldy 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 18, 2015 (edited June 4, 2016)What!? $37? That's crazy value for this bottle. This is the smoothest most well rounded Scotch at this price point, bar none. Honey, vanilla, oak, its all there and dangerously smooth to boot. This has become my go to scotch and a great introductory bottle for the uninitiated. -
I finally found a bottle, like at least one reviewer I found it under the counter after striking up a conversation with the clerk. All I have to say is this does not disappoint, simply phenomenal. I'm a scotch fan, but have recently started dabbling in bourbon, this is my favorite. If you can get it buy it, If you see 2 get the second bottle too,

Bowmore Small Batch
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed October 20, 2015 (edited October 25, 2015)Nose of smoke peat and brine which follow through on the pallet. Then a faint sweetness of caramel comes in and finishes with more smoke which lasts longer than expected. A nice entry into peated malts.
