Tastes

At the nose, what you get is a very heavy malty flavor, like barley sugar, with some little components of walnut and very very little of honeysuckle and earthy soil flavor(maybe). When you taste it, it's quite smooth and don't have no burn. It's quite the same cereal taste, with some syrup notes but with a fast finish - definitely a cheap finish. It's a little bitter, like gentian plant with that barley sugar end in background. I really can't figure out how this whisky can be compared to other Islay ones.

That's very floral on the nose - smell like roses and fresh oranges , but when you taste it.. It's so creamy with that typical sherry flavours. So smooth on the throat, and leave that wood long finish that is soo good. Absolutely a great blend.

Such a nice whisky - a delightful nose, so fruity and sweet, and a good but less pleasant taste, seems nutmeg, a bit too harsh for me, and a short spicy finish. A great entrance in the rye world - definitely worth the price. Would buy it again

When you have so many flavours in a drum - sea on the nose, oily sweet harsh on the tongue and that firecamp sound on the finish - you can be sure this must one GREAT single malt

Colour is clear amber, very nice. This dram smells of marine notes, dry seaweed, toasted liquorice, a bit of citrus if water is added (but very light). Tasting is like chopping a big salmiakki, but with some bitter dark chocolate. Finish is too much bitter, but also woody and ashy. On the bottom of the empty glass you'll find some graceful wood, liquorice notes, with a bit of citrus. Nice dram but definitely not my favorite from Islay

Fall '14. Very nice bourbon, a great expression but WTF what a price. Colour is great, very clear caramel, and with a little water it won't get cloudy. I tasted it at about 70 proof. At the nose, definitively leather, but with some oily smells like roasted sesame and a little spicy pepper flavour. Body is smoky, creamy with embers, aftertaste is metallic with a slightly bitter note. Base notes are, for me, earthy with a little bit of dried fruit. 4 stars, great spirit.
