Pleasantly surprised with this slightly peated blend. Fruity and smokey notes hit the nose early. Apple and pear perhaps. Medium feel with a earthy peat , slight smoke and fruit. Short finish. Excellent. Thanks Tang!

I worked quite a while to taste other qualities past the deep heavy smoke and never succeeded. Good for a pour for sure, will return after my peat journey and give it another go.

To be honest I had low hopes for this “budget” bourbon. I was pleasantly surprised. It was light tasting, hints of cherry perhaps. Short finish. If given, I would drink again. Thanks James

Hints of sweet caramel brown sugar compliment the tobacco like wintergreen taste. Full bodied medium feel followed by a smooth medium finish. A smooth bourbon. Thanks Matt!

Good sipper for a spirit. Heavy feel. Powdered and brown sugar initial, followed by frosting aftertaste. Very sweet with a short finish.

Hints of honey and sugars are evident in this wheated bourbon. A slight Dr Pepper smell. Medium mouth feel with more hints of sweetness and cane sugar. Very smooth, short finish. Little heat.

Heavy on the tongue, syrup like consistency. Good feel, slight fruit flavor, plum perhaps. Vanilla tones. Relatively short finish. Cinnamon like heat aftertaste. Pleasure to drink occasionally

Thanks for the Scotch James! Pear perfume on the nose, in a good way, great mouth feel, strong honey, medium finish. Slight nasal heat with a black pepper aftertaste. Little to no smoke. Very smooth short medium finish.

Not bad for my first Japanese. Floral, vanilla on the nose. Low ethanol smell. More floral, nutty, when tasting. Decent feel with medium finish. Lingering cinnamon like feel in the end. Nice pour but wouldn’t buy again.

Honey, maple sweetness on the nose which translates little to the pallet. Was still my favorite at a cheap bourbon blind taste test. Medium feel not too complex, finishes just the right amount of heat for my taste. Not complex but doesn’t pretend to be. This young bourbon will be good to keep stocked for campfire BS time.
