Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 2, 2020 (edited October 15, 2020)Nose: very subtle. Nutty, vanilla, citrus. Taste: Wow. ALMONDS. This is followed by a very herbal and citrus like sting that sits around for just a bit. It’s so very light but the nuttiness is so damn tasty. Honestly one of my favorite budget scotches right now. -
Nose: Sour, sweet, just barely overwhelming. It’s pleasant and very upbeat. Taste: it doesn’t change much at all. It tasted exactly how you would expect based on the smell. It’s sour, sweet and sharp. I do taste a bit of citrus, orange and a remnant of floral notes. It’s honestly just a basic rye. Overall: it’s sharp to the nose and throat. I think this would be awesome with carb water and a pinch of lime. I enjoy it but don’t know if I’ll be purchasing again.Kadena

Smell: Very harsh at first. Intense leather, shoe polish, rotten citrus or leaves. However the second day of tasting I noticed a lot more vanilla and cream mixed in with the intensity. Taste: AWESOME. Extremely complex. I get a quick punch to the taste buds of smoke and meaty, oily zest but it is quickly obliterated by a sweet honey, shortcake, vanilla taste. It’s so light and changing that it makes the experience relaxing. Final note: it makes me hungry for a thanksgiving meal or an intense bbq.
