Wow this is amazing! Dark, rich, nutty and smooth for a rye. 95

I finally get to try this! Highland Park is my favorite and Freya is no exception. I have a preference for the more heavily sherried like Odin but this might just be the best Bourbon aged whisky out there. Tropical fruit and light peat and it goes down surprisingly well considering the cask strength. 95

It’s very difficult to compare this to the Hibiki 21. Much darker, much more smoky and peaty. But overall, it has the same quality and is equally balanced more like a Johnnie Walker, but better. 95

Yamazaki never disappoints. Also, how do they still have this gem in Kyoto? Amazing, comes close to the 18. There’s some very old stuff in here. Sweet, oaky but balanced with that typical Yamazaki flavor. 95

Finally. The ultimate Japanese blended whisky and it doesn’t disappoint. Neat, it’s absolutely clean with no burn. Rich and full with honey sweetness and ever so light smoke. The perfect blend. 95

Fine with rocks. I consider myself a whisky snob but come on it’s not that bad.

Nice with rocks. Sweet and slight smoke from the Yoichi.
