This is only $9 dollars cheaper than Redbreast 12 and I give the Redbreast five stars. I'd rather spend a little extra money and get a far superior whiskey. This seemed to gain complexity as I got deeper into the bottle.

I don't get much of the famous pear in the nose but I do get lots of white chocolate and some vanilla and cinnamon. I really like the body. It's somehow light bodied and oily at the same time. I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Excellent summer malt.

Cereal/malty. Sweet. Overpriced. Second bottle with lower expectations was way better. Malty goodness....not complex but very good.

Almost 4 stars. Chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, and fruity sherry. A very good bang for the buck.
