Four stars for the nose and the palate. It's got your typical rye notes but an extra bit of sweetness and 'thickness' that makes it stand out. No odd eucalyptus notes here. The $28 price point near me gives it an extra star.

For me this is the most middle-of-the-road rye I've ever had. Nothing really negative to say, just about exactly what you'd expect from 50% BIB Rye. It's got some heat. It's got spice. It's got pepper. It's just missing that extra something to push it over the edge. Excellent for standard rye cocktails but I'd go the extra couple bucks for Sazerac Rye 100/100 times.

The sherry imparts way too much 'sour' for my tastes. It's overly-sweet and hot.
