This is the OSEF recipe bottled at 9yrs 7 months. Selected by Rose City Liquors it's called "The Sixth Rose" Barrel 44-26 Warehouse KE, 57.6 abv Heat and spice come quickly but smooth with the aroma of mint. Adding a cube reveals caramel and softens the heat. A very nice bottle of whiskey. Would I recommend: Yes Would I buy again: Yes 65$ a bottle

This is one of my favorite whiskeys. Each time I revisit it I like it more and more. It easy to drink yet at a proof that has plenty of flavor. There is complexity in every sip to grab your attention and keep it till the next. It's affordable at 55$ a bottle here in Oregon and easy to find. Win-Win-Win.

It's taken a while to figure out how to rate this one. I was intrigued by the notion of an unaged rye so I picked up a bottle for 25$. The nose is very vegetal, hay, straw, a bit like a barn yard. That carries into the taste with a short finish of some heat and alcohol. IMO is not a pleasant sipper, it's different and thats intentional. Trying it may improve your understanding of other rye and aging processes. I've been looking for some cocktail ideas to try with this. If you have any post them. If not it may be used for some home blending/aging. While I'm interested in trying other Coppersea offerings I won't buy this one again.

I agree with dthom's review. This is a very nice bourbon. Glad I took a chance on the bottle.

A nice sweet bourbon. Several different flavors the appear throughout the sip. More complexity that you might expect at this price. Sometimes the proof shines through more than I would prefer but overall a very nice value. I’ll be drinking it with a cube or splash of water after letting it breathe for several minutes.

Indeed banana bread on nose. Not a lot of complexity. Finish comes quickly with a bit of astringency. A cube seemed to help tame that. For the price I'd go for Weller Antique or Special Reserve if I can find it.

Very smooth drinker. Sweet, honey notes. No rough edges. Would definitely buy again. This is a great any day whiskey.

This is nice bourbon. Has a nice rye kick but very drinkable neat. Rye, vanilla, butterscotch. No strong burn but plenty of spice. I picked up a couple bottles in OR for 30$ each. Lucky me, that price it's a great value.
