Macduff 2003 14 Year (Alexander Murray & Co.)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 8, 2021Tart and woody, slightly sweet and nutty. Not very distinctive. Not my favorite. -
Mannochmore 2004 14 Year Single Cask (Alexander Murray & Co.)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 8, 2021Strong nose of apple and pear, sweet and fruit forward, middle notes of grain and pepper. I’d happily drink this again if someone else was paying but it’s not very complex for its age and I’m not sure I’d buy it for myself. -
Ardmore 2008 9 Year (Alexander Murray & Co.)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 8, 2021I’m happy to finish this straight but I wouldn’t buy this for myself. Smoke and wood on the front end, lingering smoke, fruit and spice in the finish. -
McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt
American Single Malt — Oregon, USA
Reviewed January 24, 2021 (edited May 24, 2021)Mild, goes down very smooth. Lightly sweet with grassy herbal notes and a smokey finish. Delicate flavor. -
Westland Lucky Envelope Cask Exchange 4
American Single Malt — Washington, USA
Reviewed January 24, 2021I’d sip on this smokey tart whiskey again if someone else bought it but it’s not my favorite offering from Westland. Dried fruit comes through with a finish of coffee. -
