Duncan Taylor GlenAllachie 14 year old Single Sherry Cask Binny's Handpicked 2008
Single Malt — highland, Scotland
Reviewed August 6, 2023On the nose buttery figs and plums lead the way with caramel-toffee crisps, dried lemon, and soft spice underneath. On the palate, spice intensifies as honeyed fig and pear blossom add depth with vanilla and caramel supporting. The finish is pleasant and layered with a wave of spice fading into dark dried fruits, oiled leather and butterscotch toffee. Everything we’re looking for in sherry aged Scotch. Laphroaig 7 Year, Reserve Casks, Single Malts of Scotland
Single Malt — Scotland
Reviewed June 11, 2023 (edited June 12, 2023)Very similar price to Laphroaig 10 Cask Strengh, but tastes different than any Laphroaig I've ever tasted . Strong charred oak on the nose, burnt caramel and roasted nuts, maybe some BBQ bacon. However, what sets this whiskey apart from others from this distillery is the taste. Lots of vegetable and herbal notes, rosemary, sage, thyme, pepper, sweeter notes underneath, maybe some licorice. Finally the smoke appears at the medium length finish. At this price, the 10CS is a more interesting whiskey, but the fact that this is exclusive to the US and only 3 casks were bottled makes it definitely more special.84.99 USD per Bottle -

Single Malts of Scotland Laphroaig 9 year old Cask Strength 2013
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 6, 2023 (edited April 21, 2024)Nose: Earthy and sweet. Pine resin is joined by sticky BBQ sauce. Sea spray and cooling mint leaves cut through the richness. Palate: Complex. Embers from a BBQ fire are layered with robust, tarry notes. Licorice and dark chocolate provide a luscious, earthy combination with the comforting flavors of black tea, lemon, and honey. Finish: Fire dissipates to leave white pepper and a depth of flavor from umami and eucalyptus. Reviewed by: Producer119.99 USD per BottleBinny's Beverage Depot -
Laphroaig 8 year old ex PX Sherry Hogshead # 807494 Binny's Handpicked 2014
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 2, 2023Amazing nose that is densely layered with aromatic curiosities. Seaside brine, lemon balm, earth and peat and tar, wet stone, toffee and dark fruits with a faint whisper of anise. Remarkably full bodied, this is a beast of a Laphroaig with complexity on the palate that matches the nose. White pepper, dark fruits, oiled leather, caramel toffee, seaside campfire, meaty smoke, black pepper and baked stone fruits. The finish is lush, fat, and long showing smoke, wet stone, sweet dark fruits, vanilla and a bit of salinity. Just a stunner from front to back. Reviewed by: Binny's199.0 USD per Bottle
