Managed to pick up two bottles at a local grocer in New Orleans. A rare find these days. Rains about $65 for each. Well worth it. This is unlike any whiskey you'll likely try. Saying it has a lot of character is an understatement. 100% rye and 21 years aged, makes this a flavorful combo of a punch in the face from wood followed by the spicy rye notes. Definitely a (good) funky dram.

Definitely a whisky you need to try. I'm just going to say that its so smokey that my wife has to leave the room because she doesn't like the smell. It's a whisky that requires a little bit of water to fully enjoy, but you didn't buy this to not get the feeling of being thrown around a giant whirlpool. Not something you can drink everyday, but it's most certainly a conversation starter when you have guests.
