Probably the smoothest bourbon I've had to date. Nothing complicated, but fascinating how easy it is to drink. Jim Beam should bring it back as an annual release. Haven't seen this version in stores since 2015. Purchased the 200ml bottle for $7.

After having a third go of this drink at the reasonable asking price of $9 for a very reasonable pour, I decided to step away from this one in favor of cheaper ryes that I enjoy. Immediately went across the street for a Woodford Rye at $4 and confirmed what I already knew. I won't be looking for this one again.

Very approachable 107 proof. This is the type of drink new bourbon drinkers should check out. Brought it to the party and there were no complaints.

After dutifully finishing out a few 7-10 year bourbons I wasn't crazy about, I got to the J.W. Dant. I was kind of bummed after reading reviews and comments. Then I open the bottle. I put it right in the list with my favorites. I went back to it three times in a row, leaving the Weller unopened on deck. It bothered me. I kept thinking Dant would probably do well in a blind tasting. One Google search later got me to the Bourbonr article where 15 pros blind taste J.W. Dant vs Elijah 12 and Elijah 18.
