My introduction Islay. Wow! I felt I had been pushed straight in at the deep end. The strength and flavour is intense. Perhaps a tad too peaty for me , but a perfect dram nonetheless. I have a Caol Ila 12 year which pulls me back to the shallow end...

Less peaty than your Lagavulin but nonetheless a beautiful whisky.

I love this whisky. The caramel certainly comes through and the slight spiciness makes this a pleasure to drink.
