Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed October 12, 2020 (edited September 1, 2021)Nose: Soft smoke, soft oak, fruit, toffee. Water brings out some fruitiness and salt. Palate: Soft smoke, oak, honey, touch of toffee. Water brings out some smoke with a super "smooth" finish of sweet cinnamon. This is a favorite of mine. It is a go to for sure. Fantastic value at its price; as long as it stays this good, I will always have a bottle on hand.61.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Pulteney 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 12, 2020 (edited June 27, 2021)Nose: A fruity-honey punch. Water brings on so much new life and vibrancy with pear, lemon, muted caramel notes. Palate: There is a chewiness in this malt. The brininess is certainly there along with a crisp finish reminiscent of a white wine. Some oaky notes on the finish and the fruit and salt linger. The nose on this whisky brought me back to drinking scotch after a 3-year hiatus for beer and bourbon. This nose is just so enticing to me. I encourage you to try if if you have not.40.0 USD per Bottle -
