Put the standard redbreast 12 on steroids. Way more gingery with mentol/mint note on the nose coming through, probably from the higher ABV. The most bite of anything from the Redbreast family for sure.

Imagine you take the standard 12 and remove some of those gingery, cinnamony, nutmeg notes. It gets more of the wood influence but loses some of what makes the 12 so popular. I personally prefer the 12

One of the best single pot still whiskeys from Ireland in terms of price and flavour. A lot of olorosso coming through makes it reminiscent of old-school Macallan. Lots of raisen, dark chocolate, with distinctive christmas cakey-ness and pot still spices. Theres certainly better from the Redbreast family but when you consider price its hard to beat.

A lot less sherry influence than the standard 12 more bourbon. Very nice to try as its only really available directly from the website or the distillery

Different to rest of the Redbreast family. Reminded me of those books you read about the old spry, crackle sort of pot still whiskey. Gingery with popping cola candy sort of taste.
