Bunnahabhain 12 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed October 3, 2021 (edited February 12, 2022)Nice sweetness with an undertones of malt. Nose brings the malty goodness. Thia bottle is 3/4 gone and the cork stuck. Used a corkscrew to get in. Palate has that maltiness with a little butter sweetness. It isn't smokey by any stretch but if you squint and stand on one foot you can pick a faint hint up. Dark fruits on the finish without too much burn. This is one of my favs. Oh who am I kidding. This is my fav non peaty scotch. I originally bought the Islay for the peat and didn't know it was only 3 ppm. Best mistake I ever made. -

Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 24, 2021 (edited March 7, 2022)I'm not a huge wheater enthusiast. I don't hate them but I much rather have the rye spice. Sweet on the nose. Honey with a hint of ethanol. Palate is sweet with a slight kick on the end.
