smells of a campfire taste of it too

I didn't have cell connection to save this now at tasting but that being said I found this to be much prettier then 10 year. the smoke was there on the taste but not so much on the aroma (was also in a heavy smoke filled bar) process at the bar was good would order again will pick up a bottle the cove $13 neat

vanilla and spice light with the smoke. very balanced yet a nice full flavor with a finish that complements the taste the cove in york $20 neat

this is a serious scotch. if you are not acquainted with peat smoke prepare to get up close and personal. this was my first foray into Islay scotch and I have found a little slice of home in the islands and their various flavors and characteristics. the nose is abundant with smoke but stay for a mental and the fruit notes and the malt come to life. the taste is very similar with some notes of toffee and vanilla. the finish is where this whisky loves to shine the variations are unique and complex each sip is an adventure and I cannot wait for my next trip from this lovely distillery.

Tasting Notes: Nose- Sweet Spice, Oak, Vanilla Palate: Sweet Corn, Smoke, Vanilla Finish- Medium dry finish of toffee and butterscotch. from the website pretty spot on 4 stars water brings out the smoke on the taste and the toffee on the finish
