Think of a smoky BBQ. That adequately describes this dram! On the nose, it primarily smells of a beach bonfire, or grilled meat (why not both). Taste wise – you get smoke throughout, undercut with some earthiness and sweetness. Generally leaves with a pleasant warmth + is light in both colour and weight. A true keeper.

Ol’ reliable! Slight aromas of lemon and licorice, but not much else. The taste is front-footed with a lemon zest and evolves into Honey Nut Cheerios shortly after. Ultimately, it ends on a minor bitter note, although nothing too unpleasant (as it’s light in weight overall). For the price point – it’s the perfect decanter-filler.

Perfect for newcomers to scotch. What it lacks in colour, it makes up for in the experience. Smells of menthol and caramel – followed by a taste of vanilla (perhaps even candied nuts). The whisky itself is a light coating; it doesn’t overstay its welcome. This mellows out to a nice, warm glow with a pleasing aftertaste.

1792 Full Proof Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 15, 2022 (edited March 25, 2022)Kicks like a mule! Front footed with the smell of dried banana chips, honey is strong on the tongue and has a clean alcohol burn. A bit bitter – definitely needs water/ice to smooth out the rough edges. Has a Honey Nut Cheerio finish? Quite heavy also. The Last Word
