Mixing something besides this is just foolish. All the nice spice, sweetness, and that fun cooking effect you get from rye is present. Straight or with a couple cubes, there isn't much nuance to the taste though.

Instead of nuance, note the diminishing returns as you move up the Weller brand portfolio. Antique SRC and 12 are fun, this is just antique with more spice and nuance from the proof

A little sweet, but I love fruit notes in bourbon and this has loads. Nice peppery current throughout to ground it though
