Tastes

Evokes: a London townhouse with sooty bricks and a hot cup of black coffee in a thermos you didn’t rinse quite enough. A comforting scent of sweet smoke with a slightly sour, soapy, taste at the front. A sweet finish.

Evokes: a bonfire on a salty beach with dark chocolate s’mores. Cozy and comforting.

Evokes: cowering in the cold, wrapped in winter gear and looking out over the water, passing a flask back and forth with good friends. A clean, straightforward whisky. A slight burn to brace you from the cold.

Evokes: sitting on a hay bale, under a birch tree, watching the rain drop from the branches. I was quite scared to try this after seeing the reviews, but we bought it at duty free in Reykjavik, so I had to give it a go, one way or another. Honestly pleasantly surprised. It’s incredibly soft - no burn, which I usually hate- and while it does taste of wet alfalfa hay, I get a lot of birch tree, sweetness, with a sort of clove/nutmeg spice on the end.
