Tastes

Might have some potential but at 17 months in new charred barrels it is very young, and it tastes that way. Not much complexity. A hint of toffee on the nose. Some sweetness from the corn and wheat. Finishes with a strong alcohol note. It lacks balance. This just tastes too young.

The Tawny Port barrels used in this dram adds an interesting twist to the port finished trend. Less sweetness.

I love the balance of the sweetness, peat and heat of the alcohol. Excellent!
