One of the best whiskey's I had in 2015. Nothing bad I can say about this one.

Who approved this swill? Terrible. Completely undrinkable.

My favorite easily accessible bourbon and I firmly believe that an 82 rating seems a little low. Fantastic nose that reminds me of the inside of the distillery. Similar profile to the small batch but with amplified flavors and no bitter finish. Heavy vanilla and very sweet. Worth the $20 dollar increase over the Bowman Brothers in my opinion.

One of my favorite everyday bourbons. I enjoy the single barrel much more but the small batch is great and it's right down the road. Soft and sweet. A little bitterness on the finish but that seems to vanish with the John J. Bowman. The reviewer is incorrect however as this is not a wheated mashbill. It's actually mashbill #2 from Buffalo Trace.

The nose on this whiskey is heavy leather. Like walking in to a furniture store. Followed by vanilla and black pepper. The palate starts with a light sweetness that begins a dance with rye spice. Definitely a lot more complex than I was expecting.
