Redwood Empire Lost Monarch Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — USA
Reviewed April 29, 2022 (edited November 10, 2022)Vanilla and fruity with dill-like spice fragrant on the nose, all deliver on the palate with a little bit of oak. You can pick up the rye but it's defiantly not harsh. Scotch drinker's bourbon & rye blend.39.0 USD per Bottle -
It's the good old fruity sherry, honey, caramel note, with the amount of peat that is not too less to be discovered every time you drink but still remains in the herbal territory. More sweet on the nose than on palate. The flavor profile is classic. I just hope it can be 43%, or 46% non-chill filtered at a few bucks higher.30.0 USD per Bottle

Really really good price, but not the flavor that I like. I thought it can be more floral and fruity at a higher proof but disappointed with this aspect. It's just a higher proof the glenlivet 12. If you love the original 12, you gonna love this. Add some water, this whiskey will keep changing in the next 40 min. I don't regret the purchase but probably won't buy again.36.0 USD per Bottle

All of the dry fruits sherry notes, remind me my childhood memory of royal salute. And a small amount of wood note. Sweet. A little bit of young sour smell, but better than some 10/12 years single malts that come at similar prices. Not the kind of complex whiskey, full enough for the price, consistently delivers the flavor profile that I like. It's far far away from thin.30.0 USD per Bottle
