Tastes

I love the combination of sea salt and smoke with what feels like a citrus on the back of the palette a slight prickle on the front of the tongue as well makes this a good (for me) cold weather scotch. But really any weather is scotch weather.

I finally broke down and picked up a bottle to see what all the hype is about. I have not been very open minded regarding blended scotches until I had the very tasty ghost and rare which led me to giving this blend a chance. The florals seem soft but present as well as the somewhat whispery peat in the back of the palette. A very nice whisky.

Dull on the front end, with a gentle smoke and warmth on the back of the palette. A small amount of aged char on the roof of the mouth. Drinking this neat, stored at 55 degree Fahrenheit.
