Nose is strong smoky oak. Starts hot with spicy burn. Sweet spicey midpallete with heat going down. Not bad price for sipper that can probably be smoothed out with a little ice

Pleasant smokey nose. Sweet spicy start smooth with a bit of vanilla carmel on palate. Goes down with warm burn. Overall a pleasant sipper that is a bit overpriced in my area but will make my shelf as occasional sipper if I can find it for the right price.

This one has a bit of an odd nose and taste. The high malt barley and wheat content create a bread taste and smell that dominates the palate. Is sweet with lots of bread notes and a bit of alcohol burn. Just not really developing a like for this one. I feel it is overpriced for the quality.

Nose is smoky fresh cut wood with a bread note. Starts sweet with medium burn with smooth hot finish going down. A block of ice smooths it all out but still has a certain grainy flavor that makes it an Ok sipper for a very nice price.

Smooth and sweet start with burst of hot spice on pallet. Touch of smoke and warm burn going down.

Starts sweet with carmel note with some char. Mid palet some spice rye makes an appearance with wheat and leather tone. Finish carries fairly strong rye spice to back of throat. Overall an average whiskey that is an OK sipper but overpriced for age and quality.

Strong oak char with malted barley. Taste is light vanilla carmel with oak char and barley forward. Not a lot of spice as there is little or no rye in the mash bill. A bit of alcohol bite in middle and smooth finish. Nice sipper at medium price from some great new friends.

Total wine bottle #2273. Starts smooth buttery with sweet carmel note. Slight rye spice which is surprising as this is supposed to be a high rye bill. Burn is there from the proof but is just about right. Overall would say for the price this is a nice sipper that is above average.

Nose is a woody smoke with hint of mushroom. Front of palate is quite spicey and rye forward with strong pepper spice. As it works its way back it smooths to a sweet vanilla with a slightly spicey burn. Overall if you like a high rye count there is much to like. Not really my favorite but still a good sipper when in mood for a bit more spice.
