Tastes

This is a young whiskey. I even get that in the nose. On the nose, honey and fresh cut grass or hay, little bit of Oak. On the palate, a little bit of burn with honey, more oak more green flavor. As the whiskey opens up there is more green in the nose. Even though this is a young whiskey it's not off putting at all. Can't wait till the Distillery releases some older barrels.

I've never been a fan of blended whiskey but this is very good stuff. I'm also a big fan of whiskey with an age statement but the XO is Nas. I tried this on a recommendation of a friend. I was pleasantly suprised. It will definitely have a place in my liquor cabinet.
