Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 2, 2018Big fan of this one. The barrel finishing adds a good amount of smoke, toffee, and some orange to the strong flavors of orchard fruits you tend to get in a Speyside. It's not too light or honey-sweet, but not too dark and syrup/bourbon-sweet either.57.0 USD per Bottle -
Trying this again, my first sip was surprisingly sweet. Getting through more of the bottle, I get orange up front, and a lot of wood, vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon. Actually pretty drinkable considering the abv. Adding water makes it a little less sweet (which I prefer). I will say I hate the stupid fake cork. Way to hard to open the bottle and you inevitably get some of the wax in your glass.

Speyburn 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 10, 2018 (edited October 22, 2019)Oh man, how is this only $30? Its got a classic speyside taste and nose, but with more floral notes and a hint of salt, along with some sherry influence. Super great value for the money. -
This has fast become one of my favorite bourbons. It's also surprisingly affordable ($30 normally, $26 on sale). Taste-wise, I get cocoa, some nuttiness (almonds maybe?), oak, brown sugar, and even a bit of coca-cola flavor in there. It's a richer taste and it lingers with you a while, but it's not cloyingly sweet and a bit different compared to most other bourbons I've tried.

Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 3, 2018 (edited December 10, 2018)Honestly, kind of boring and tasted sort of watered down. Not bad, but not worth the money IMO.44.0 USD per Bottle
