Smooth Ambler is one of my new favorites. Both their bourbon and rye are excellent for mid $30's. 4 stars!

I've tried about 20 different bourbons on my newfound appreciation of this American Whiskey. This and 1792 Ridgemont are my least favorite due to their overpowering bitter bite and finish. Both have a over charred taste that ruins the actual flavor of these bourbons. I would never recommend this or 1792 to anyone new to bourbon. There are so many other choices at the same cost or even cheaper that id recommend. Anything four roses is a solid choice. Also a lot of the mid to bottom shelf choices from Buffalo Trace would also be great.

It has a bitter bite on the front and it lingers through the finish. The aftertaste is something I just can't enjoy. I'll only mix this in Dr. Pepper to help cover the actual taste from now on. This is not an everyday sipper. For the price I'd recommend Four Roses Small Batch, Buffalo Trace or even WL Weller Special Reserve.

Got this for Christmas. Never heard of it before, it was highly recommended by the guy in the bourbon section of Total Wine. I have to say for being a high rye (36%) it's exceptionally smooth. There is a forward bite being 99 proof, but quickly smooths out to a sweet tingling finish. After opening up it has a bubble gum/cotton candy scent to the nose. But the flavor is never that sweet. It's a perfect mix of tingle to smooth transition as it goes down. Highly recommend you give this one a try.

I really like this as a daily drinker. For $12.99 it's easy on the wallet. I add a single ice cube to smooth it out even more. A nice way to wind down at the end of the day. Sweet on the nose, smooth, short finish.

I really like this budget priced bourbon. It's sweet but packs a mild punch. Lots of aroma with a smooth finish.

I have some friends who speak highly of Jameson, but I just don't like it. For the price I can find much better options. It's bitter without a lot of flavor. I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe I'm not a fan of Irish whiskeys, but for the price I'd recommend Larceny or Evan Williams Single Barrel.
