Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 2, 2019 (edited March 4, 2019)This is young, hot, and a disaster. It’s a very poor whiskey that shows no craftsmanship. Finish is brutal. Save your money. -
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 30, 2018 (edited January 3, 2019)This bourbon is overhyped and can’t seem to figure out what it wants to be. It’s the Notre Dame of bourbon. For me, the wine barrel finish overwhelms the good bourbon character. Hard to stomach @ $50. 2 * because the craft and care is obvious, even if the flavor is not for me personally. -
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 22, 2018 (edited December 25, 2018)Smooth sipping. Vanilla and brown sugar on the nose and up front give way to the warmer flavors of cinnamon and burnt sugar. Though not particularly high proof, it drinks easier than the proof would have you believe. Enjoy this full bodied whiskey neat.42.0 USD per Bottle -
Sweet and rich. Brown sugar gives way to vanilla on every full sip. Wheated bourbon is a personal favorite of mine. Though I prefer Weller Antique for the higher proof and complexity, this is a dynamite bourbon to enjoy neat. Never leave this on the shelf, you don’t see it often.25.0 USD per Bottle

Decent nose. Tastes cheaper than it is and burns higher than its proof. Open it up with a splash of water or ice cube despite the 91 proof. Truth be told, this is too pricy to mix and too rough to enjoy neat or on the rocks. There are simply better bottles of whiskey down the line. This is a weak effort from Diageo, who blends Bulleit.50.0 USD per Bottle
