Liking this more than the standard. This particular one is a bit sweeter than normal, has a slight cherry finish.

Hits about the same as the small batch. Starts out smooth and has a bite on the backend.

Very smooth with a mellow feel, no bite to it. Slightly sweet but not overwhelming.

Very smooth, has a mellow bite to it. Sweet tasting, but I can't place the taste. Mine was the cask strength but only rye shows up.

Surprisingly smooth on the 2nd & 3rd sips, but the first sip had a lot of bite. A little sweet with some vanilla.

Tested against voyage 16 & 19. Still think 19 is the best I've had but this is a close second. Unlike 16 it goes down fairly smooth has a nice caramel flavor to it (keep in mind my palate is bad). I prefer the 19 which is wheated, but this goes down smooth enough in a blind test I doubt I'd know the difference.

Easy drinking, not a lot of bite to it. As compared to the tasting notes I'm really only getting a buttery smoothness. Still, if you're looking for a rye this is a solid choice.

Easy drinking, was expecting some bite since it's a rye. I get a bit of a woody flavor & faint fruity sweetness.

Liking this so far. Has a sweet aroma & a strong bite. Added a couple drops of water, noticed it smoothed out a bit and seemed to have a more caramel taste to it, the bite was still strong.
