August 21st, 2018 at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. Served in a Glencairn glass. Intensely smoky and peaty on the nose and there's more going on as well. Fruit and vanilla permeates the nose after the initial peat smoke impression wears off. The palate does not disappoint. Everything noted on the nose is confirmed on tasting. The extra 6% alcohol is a welcome addition here. A wonderful dram!

July 24th, 2018 at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. A sweet and candied nose, maybe a trace of smoke, mostly fruit and vanilla. Eminently pleasant, but not overly complex. Time for a sip. Hmm..sweet and fruity. A damnably nice whiskey, but this guy has gone to the smoke and peat side, from which there is no return.

Reviewed July 1, 2018 (edited July 18, 2018)July 1st, 2018 Lions Pub in Vancouver. In a rocks glass. A very pleasant bourbon nose and palate, but I don't see it as exceptional. The Distiller.com reviewer gave it 96 points, but I don't quite see it. Anyway, very nice. -
June 10, 2018 at Begbie's Tavern on Columbia St in New Westminster. A single ounce pour in a small snifter. $ 14 The nose is sweet and fruity, as in candied fruit, and a bit of smoke, spice and vanilla. The nose is so complex and intoxicating it seems almost an afterthought to mention that it tastes good too!
