Riazul Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed March 21, 2017 (edited June 19, 2020)The flavor is rich and sweet, and the finish is fairly clean, but the aroma varies between merely unpleasant on some days and completely gross on others. At $59 a bottle, I think this is a bit of a rip-off. I won't be buying this again. -
Tres Generaciones Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed March 10, 2017 (edited May 1, 2022)Clean aroma and light flavor that reminds me a bit of scotch, until the pronounced taste of black pepper and nutmeg kicks in, which softens in the finish. At $35 a bottle, a good value. -
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 28, 2017Very nice. I was actually surprised when I took my first sip. My favorite bourbon so far. -
Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 28, 2017 (edited August 16, 2021)Moderately sweet, with vanilla, lots of oak, a bit of brown or caramelized sugar, and some spice from the rye. There’s a bit of menthol that appears in the finish, and some smoke, too. This entry-level Wild Turkey isn’t bad at all, especially considering it’s so cheap they’re practically giving it away.13.49 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More
