This, I like. I sampled this during a Scotch tasting at a bar. A passerby stopped to tell everyone just how horrible the Laphroaig was, using words such as undrinkable. Call me crazy, but I enjoyed slowly sipping the sample. It's a light gold color, and heavy on the smoke. Almost like sipping a campfire. I will be adding this to my home bar collection.

This was the first whisky I drank neat, with no ice. At the time I admired its smoothness and easy drinking quality. However, as my experience with whisky increased I began to seek out and enjoy whiskys that were more robust, with deeper and longer lasting flavors. Maker's Mark was and remains a great gateway whisky, but it's easy to grow less and less enamored with it over time.

Talisker 10 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed November 15, 2015 (edited October 29, 2016)I love this whisky. I first tasted it on a fishing trip in NZ. The guide offer my campanion and me the opportunity to finish off a bottle that had about 2 inches left. My campanion didn't enjoy it but I did. It was almost like drinking smoke. I drained the bottle during the two hour drive back to our cruise ship. Now, my bar is never without a bottle.
