Not much of a nose with this one, mainly just alcohol/heat. Taste is completely different tho. It is incredibly smooth. Starts out with a nice amount of spice, then goes to sweet vanilla and oak. With the spice coming back to keep your tounge tingling. Cost me a couple of dollars more than buffalo trace, but I feel like it would be a bit more versatile. I'll give it an extra star for the nice packaging

Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 11, 2015 (edited August 7, 2019)I mainly used this for old fashioneds, but I'm currenently drinking the last few mouthfuls of my bottle on a little ice while watching a nice lightning storm go past. Smells like alcohol, oak, and orange( perhaps from the old fashioned to was previously in the glass). Taste much the same, but spicy transitioning into to sweet and smooth, but the spice returns for the finish. I like it, and it makes good cocktails, but in Australia it's $80 a bottle( a rather expensive cocktail). I would go for something a little less expensive for that sort of thing. Definitely try it at least once -
Bernheim 7 Year Original Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 4, 2015 (edited March 10, 2016)Had this at a party a few weeks ago. I don't think the bar tender was to impressed, as he had to get a step ladder to reach the bottle, which looked as if it was unopened. Had on 1 ice cube. Incredibly smooth, exactly like the original review. I'll have to buy a bottle for home. -
I bought this without realising there was some peated Whisky in the blend. I tried a peated single malt a while ago and didn't like it at all. But after tasting this I might have to try them again. There's just enough smokiness in the finish to let you slowly get used to it. I'm liking this one. Smooth, and a little smokey

Glenlivet 18 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 20, 2015 (edited March 18, 2016)This was good, I think I like Glenfiddich 18 more. I do prefer sherry finished scotches tho. I only had a 50 ml bottle. Not bad, but I probably wouldn't buy a full bottle. -
