That’s a dang good bourbon.

I don’t possess a sophisticated palate so I’m not going to fake a review. I’ll simply say that this is a good bourbon and I will buy it again.

For what it is, it’s pretty darn good.

Sweet with heat. This is an exceptional bourbon.

When a bottle says 21 years old and the price is less than $80 it’s worth the gamble. Two thumbs up from me and I’m going back for another bottle.

Started a little timid with a soft nose and and a smooth mouth feel. Then it tricked me with citrusy licorice notes in the middle before unleashing heat that warmed my soul and esophagus. The fire died into a lingering licorice flavor. And then I had seconds.

Vanilla up front with heat on the back end. Maybe a hint of leather in the middle. I’ll buy this one again.

Shared with me by a friend. A very good rye and a very good friend. Give this one a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised. This is quite good. A hint of what I call a biscuit taste that I find in craft bourbons. A touch of heat up front mellowing to spice and vanilla and finishing with a mild licorice flavor. My one dimensional taste buds tell me that I will buy this one again.

Different, that’s for sure. Heat. Caramel and hot pepper. Starting to grow on me. I’m liking this one.
