Macallan Edition No. 5
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 24, 2020 (edited September 10, 2020)I went to have another pour of this and the smell of sulfur was overwhelming. It's not an issue with storage, I keep my bottles in a cabinet in a my office, away from heat and light. VERY disappointing....... -
Nose: Sweet, oaky Palette: Honey, but not overly sweet. Cinnamon, slightly peppery and oak Finish: Long and smooth, stone fruit, mangoes/peaches at the very finish. I had to try this whiskey based on everything I read. I was not disappointed in the least. Amazing overall, the stone fruit at the finish sealed it for me...270.0 USD per Bottle

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 24, 2018 (edited January 3, 2019)Smells sweet, definitely influenced by the rum, with some smoke/peat. On the palate the smoke/peat is there, but not over the top, and the sweetness comes through. The finish is short and lightly smokey.
