EASY one of my favorite ryes of all time. This whisky had everything. A sweet finish. A bit of rye spice. Perfect caramel and vanilla. Definitely more of a dessert whisky, but worth every bit.

For a 132.2 proof bottle, this was one of the smoothest whiskies I’ve ever tried. Absolutely incredible, and a great treat that Brandon at Cuts let us try. 2nd best in a flight of: Redwood Empire Rocket Top Willett Rye 8 Year Angel’s Envy Rye Rum Cask

Very good!! One of the hottest ryes I’ve had. Definitely better character than most. Held up well in the flight but was outshined by the last two in the flight with it: Redwood Empire Rocket Top Jack Daniels Rye 132 Proof Angel’s Envy Rye Rum Cask

Very typical rye. Similar to Rittenhouse. Kinda of boring next to the other members of its flight: Willett Rye 8 Year Jack Daniels Rye 132 proof Angel’s Envy Rye Rum Cask

Pretty good! Peaty at the start that quickly transitions to a smoky/briny combo. Not much fruit, but a lot of oak. Much more kind than the 10 yr from the same distiller.

Not bad. Very spicy up front and on the end, but not in the way rye is peppery. Stays pretty hot. Not too peaty that it’s unenjoyable.

Very good. Very easy drinker. A few drops of water went a long way. Far more vegetal and earthy than the other highland and islay that I’ve tried.

Pretty good. Mild. Similar to bourbon, but definitely more vegetal. A little salty? No peat. And easy drink neat.
