I called this dram the least peated Whisky in Scotland on my initial review last year. Today it felt a bit flat. I promise to come back with a definitive answer on the third round.

I've should have known better than to go for the tripple cask version of this 15 yo Macallan. Recently tried vs 4 other 15 yos including the Yoishi, Glengoyne, Glen Scotia and the Glendronach Revival. At the bottom of the pit we had the flat tasting Glengoyne and the bit sour Macallan. I expected a bit more from the Easter Elchies House of Scotland.

Not my favourite Talisker, though I must admit it is a very fine peated Malt for lovers of the genre.

Breathtaking. Amazingly rounded, perfect amount of wood without overpowering your tasting. I wish I had brought more than an ounce. A lot more.

When Diageo added the 12 yo Cragganmore to their classic Malts, they certainly made a classic choice.

This might be the lowest rated 15 year old Japanese Malt Whisky I've tried... Aghast! This might be the ONLY 15 year old Japanese whisky I've tried (in the last decade)

Not exactly the Macallan killer everyone's talking about, though a solid award winning Sherry aged Malt.

Italian wines are hard to distinguish out of their subtle similar flavours. Ardbergs are hard to distinguish out of their concentrated overpowered notes

You'll find a lot better reviews than mine on this spirit. Having said that, I tried a $4000 Hennessy Cognac a few weeks back and for $3800 less you can have this Dalmore instead. The best compliment I can give this five cask Malt is that although this is not my type of whisky, you'll have a hard time finding a easier dram full of grape based flavours than this.

I've always believed Highland Park grows exponentially with age, more so than any other make. I don't feel this 13yo is an exception.
