Holy crap! Props to Harry for opening the cabinet. This is way better than I expected. Absolutely something I'd buy in a heartbeat. Viscous, oily. Pleasant, soft smoke on the nose, rich caramel and mouth-coating buttery-ness on the tongue. I hesitate to say one of the best scotches I've ever tried, but it's up there!

Do you like being punched in the face? Maybe not by a human being, but by a scotch? Oh yes! Punch me baby all night long! Corryvreckan takes all the subtlety and sweetness of Uigeadail and sticks up its middle finger. This is brash, raw Islay smoke and peat for days! Corry demands your respect. It envelopes your palate, clings to your gums and tongue, refusing to let go until you've accepted and embraced the raw intensity of a whiskey unashamed to be itself. An absolute treat! Don't deny yourself; experience Islay as it's meant to be!115.0 CAD per Bottle

Can anything top Ardbeg Uigeadail? A $105, NAS, un-colored, non-chill-filtered scotch bottled at 54.1% and absolutely overflowing with flavor? If I'm ever bleeding out, replace my blood bag with a bottle of Uigeadail. Since it's release, every Ardbeg special release has to hold a candle to this behemoth, which clocks in at half of the price, or less! And most fail! Uigeadail for president!105.0 CAD per Bottle

Now THIS is scotch. Why companies like Bowmore and Talisker and Laphroaig continue to release colored, chill-filtered whiskey when offerings like this exist is beyond me. Peat smoke dominates a straw-coloured body, with smoke and soft citrus with a hint of oak carrying onto the palate. A true delight of a scotch, to join the ranks of Lagavulin 8 and Port Charlotte 10 as an age-stated, undefiled by color or chill-filtration scotch. A top-notch offering!89.0 CAD per Bottle

A year open. Plenty of time to open up. Heavy oak and, according to my wife, baked apples on the nose. Sweet wood and apples. To taste: tobacco and leather; smokey. A sweet, medium finish. Honestly? I want to love this. I really do. But it's only a few points above average. I'm yet to try regular Blanton's, but if this so-called "premium" Blanton's is anything to go by, I'd take Eagle Rare any day over this. Especially at the premium price of Blanton's. The fact that people will overpay for this on secondary is unbelievable!166.0 AUD per Bottle

Beautifully smokey nose with delicate floral notes lingering amidst the haze. Campfire smoke and vanilla explode onto the palate with soft wood and spice notes along for the ride. An absolute treat of a scotch and one I'm glad to have picked up. These higher, 92+, proof, non-chill filtered peaty scotches are absolutely superb and Lagavulin 8 is no exception. A winner through and through!103.0 CAD per BottleVernon Square Liquor Store Ltd

500ml bottle. Not complaints about this 107 proof Rye. It's exactly as described; bold and spicy. A little young. Could use a other year or two of age to round out the rough edges. Overall, good value for money and the higher proof point allows the flavors to shine through. Solid. Worth the €25 I paid.24.9 EUR per Bottle
