Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 3, 2017 (edited October 14, 2017)Can you say bananas? This is Old No. 7 turned up to 12. If you're a fan of banana bread or anything dessert you've got to try this sugary delight. It is spectacular for the price. Word of warning is that you must have some experience drinking barrel proof whiskey or the patience to sip slowly because it kicks like a mule. I can't believe the fine folks at JD didn't think to release this gem sooner. -
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Straight Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 3, 2017 (edited January 13, 2018)Definitely in my top 3 out of ryes I've tried. Hard to put the bottle down with this one. Has a lot of the same character as its brothers in the bourbon line, but has some fantastic spicy and dill qualities. A must try if you're a rye fan. The only disappointment with this one would be the price considering it's an NAS. -
Smells and tastes the way an old boot store smells. I got very few pleasant vanilla or brown sugar notes due to the boot smell being so overwhelming. Easily the worst bourbon I've tasted (I've had 70-80 thus far.) Hopefully the distillery gets it together and improves with time. For $50 you can get much nicer bourbon.

Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 16, 2017 (edited October 14, 2017)Everything bourbon should be. Sweet, spicy and an unmistakable finish of oaky goodness. The best in it's price range.
