Tastes

Nose begins with a hint of salt, mellowing into a wheel of rich pear and golden apple. The taste then spreads that fruit back in a wave followed by ripples of salt and wisps of smoke. Tends to emphasize different things with each sip.

Sharp sweetness from the Sherry cask influence and higher ABV. Distinct lack of complexity with a noticable lack of any interesting finish.

Clean nose with little character. Faint notes of dried fruit with a hint of dust. Taste begins clean, then builds with vanilla into a barrage of black pepper and barrel spice. Finishes with a nice mouth coating.

Lovely rich malt with a barrel spice finish. Notes of cloves, maple, and a hint of cinnamon.

On the nose, classic bourbon corn note. Rather thin with a slight note of vegetation. Taste, classic bourbon with a note of wet, green wood, reminiscent of a swamp.

On the nose, the spicy notes of the rye present first, almost smelling like wet tree bark, with the intensely sweet caramel and vanilla notes hovering underneath. The taste is very similar with the high ABV grabbing attention first, followed by the spicy rye and caramel notes but in equal proportion rather than rye dominance with the flavors playfully trading superiority as you return to the glass.

On the nose, rather sweet. Malty with notes of sugared raisins and a hint of orange citrus. On the taste, still sweet with some orange though no raisins. Has more spice on the taste and finishes with just a hint of smoke.

Sweet vanilla, brown sugar, subtle fruit, subtle iodine.
