The nose is dusty corn and sticky caramel. Maybe a little grape candy thrown in too with some barn musk at the end. The taste is also dusty. Green and rye in the middle while soft and golden around the edges. Bit of stewed pear and hay maybe. Minus the dust, definitely feels like the edges are sanded down. Bit more bitey than i expected. More unique than other classic Bourbons. Not a game changer but definitely something interesting to keep around when you need a change of pace.44.0 USD per Bottle

The nose is thick strawberry jam with a burnt characteristic, almost like it was toasted or part of a pastry. But it's also heartier than expected. Almost reminds you of breakfast food or omelets. The taste adds sweet-smoked cherry to the jam with some weird funk floating around the edges. Relatively little finish, but the front end sure packs a flavor wallop. Would make a good breakfast whisky. Not quite substantial enough for dessert.60.0 USD per Bottle

Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed February 2, 2023 (edited April 22, 2023)The nose is really sweet. Fruity actually with notes of pineapple, bubblegum, and creamy vanilla. It does smell like Bourbon, but with no normal Bourbon notes somehow. The palate keeps all these notes, but adds some corn dust. It tastes thin, but it's not somehow. Actually a pretty good mouth feel despite no finish. It's fun, probably a crowd pleaser, but won't change your life.60.0 USD per Bottle -
Hall of Champions American Malt Whiskey
American Single Malt — USA
Reviewed January 26, 2023 (edited February 12, 2024)On the nose it's green and young. With this weird funk that could almost convince you it's a rye. But the green is weird. Reminds me of unwashed dishes or old carpet. The taste has a lot of burn, but the whiskey's thin. Pops of caramel here and there with a few malty tinges, but overall it's a one trick Pony and the Pony isn't talented. I'd pass. Especially at the price.71.0 USD per Bottle -
On the nose: malt, melted butter, green apple, funk, but no smoke. Perhaps a bit of salty rocks and wet moss. But it's the sweet baked apple that wins. The taste is SUPER silky. Butter, werthers candy, and savory black pepper. Very little finish. Interesting but definitely front loaded.7.0 USD per Pour

The nose is corn and cherry, but not particularly sweet, although you can find vanilla if you hunt hard enough. The taste is A LOT of corn. Not that sweet. What sweetness is there is just splashes of cherry. More syrupy than the nose indicates. Feels like a Bourbon trying to be the most Bourbony.55.0 USD per Bottle

GlenDronach Allardice 18 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 20, 2022 (edited March 30, 2022)The nose is pure strawberry jam, spread on top of cinnamon-sugar Graham cracker, maybe even dipped in a bit of chocolate ganache. Just dessert all round. The taste confirms this is fresh strawberry, the kind that's red all the way through after you bite through the chocolate it was dipped in. It's like saving a bit of summer for the Christmas candy. It's not all sugar though. A bit of tobacco ash on the back end reminds you it's still whisky, but boy is it special.180.0 USD per Bottle -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2021-01 "Donohoe's Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 20, 2022 (edited October 28, 2022)The nose feels like bowl. In the middle is corn. Then in layers: vanilla, cherry, and toffee; each wrapped around the other, but everything starts from the corn in the middle. Oh, and it's sweet. The taste continues this. But the corn constitutes the mouth feel, while the taste is dominated by the toffee and cherry. It's hot, but not burning. With hints of the Jim Beam nuttiness poking through. Feels like a twist on a classic100.0 USD per Bottle
