Tastes

Strong and full bodied. There is some woody aftertaste and first sip was fantastic spice and cinnamon. The flavors linger and coat the mouth. I have loved Baby Blue for years, but if I'm looking for something that stands up to my other favorite Texas bourbon, Garrison Bros, this is the one. And it's the most affordable Balcones bottle!

Big bite, lingering spice, heavy and totally enjoyable. More of a woody flavor but not oak.

Has a nice bite at first but really light flavor and doesn't linger. There is almost a mild fruit-like trace left after the sip. The first night I thought it was so watery after that initial bite that I wouldn't buy it again. But the second night I drank it, I found that interesting fruit aftertaste made it worth a purchase in the future. The third night I drank it I realized the evolution - if I drink this after drinking heavier whiskey, I won't like it, but when I adjust, it's really nice.
