The Busker Single Pot Still (Single Collection)
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed February 12, 2021 (edited November 18, 2021)Aroma reminds me of a Farmer’s Market in the fall with the mix of fruit and grain and pastries and breads, etc., etc., it’s so enjoyable; Palate is an earthier delivery of the array of profiles in the aroma, but without that “Farmer’s Market” essence since you can’t really taste a Farmer’s Market; Finish shifts and moves from fruity to more earthy but always fades to vanilla taffy. -
The Busker Single Malt (Single Collection)
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed February 12, 2021 (edited November 18, 2021)Aroma has a nice richness to it that pulls notes from the fruit, earthy, malty and sweets categories and spreads them out evenly and nicely; Palate find a similar profile, but a bit more on the earthy and malty side of things and a drier delivery; Finish loses some of the sweetness and fades to drier fruit and cereal notes. -
Aroma has this strange fruitiness that goes from oily to dried to stale and back again while sitting on a metallic/mechanical platter with bits of dessert sweetness floating around; Palate is almost cloyingly sweet but pulls back from that line thanks to some of the earthy notes and loses most of that metallic ping; Finish is done in a flash and leaves a banana chips note.

The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed February 11, 2021 (edited November 18, 2021)Aroma is a warm and fruity delivery layered with earthier and maltier notes that give this an inviting profile; Palate is a heavier, maltier, darker delivery of similar profiles to the aroma, with a sweetness that’s more subtle, but more complex; Finish is the only place oak really shows up and it’s a welcome note to end on. -
Aroma smells just like a fresh jar of cocktail cherries, some of the sweetness comes down as it opens, but that sweet cocktail cherry overtone stays dominant; Palate has that same cherry profile to it, but it also picks up a vanilla and spice note that merge and remind of Cherry Vanilla Coke; Finish is just pure cherries from a tin.

Traverse City Whiskey Co. North Coast Rye
Rye — Michigan , USA
Reviewed February 4, 2021 (edited July 6, 2023)Aroma has a light chemical/cleaner note to it and comes through sharply with coppery, dilly, spicy rye notes and a rather light oak; Palate is a bit sweeter and less sharp, but still carries a bit of an edge with a dilly, coppery, lemongrass essence that cuts through till it dovetails into the finish; Finish starts sharply lemongrass and softly, though quickly, fades to a coppery fruit. -
Traverse City Whiskey Co. Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon (BevMo!)
Bourbon — Michigan, USA
Reviewed February 3, 2021 (edited September 15, 2021)Aroma has this dark heaviness to it that starts oaky and shifts to darkly fruity to darkly sweet and then picks up some earthier tones; Palate sits like a complex cookie, like if you could put all the flavors of bourbon into a cookie… and drink it; Finish is a softer cookie copy of the palate. -

Traverse City Whiskey Co. XXX Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Michigan, USA
Reviewed February 2, 2021 (edited July 8, 2022)Aroma is a standard bourbon that comes through shockingly mature with a nice sense of oak and dark sweetness and a biscuity note that slowly grows as it opens; Palate is a bit brighter than the aroma and brings in some notes of copper and a light fruitiness that I don’t hate – the youth shows here, but not in a foul crafty way; Finish starts dark and oaky but fades out to this interesting spicy-fruity note that’s oddly enjoyable.
