Total wine pick. Orange peel, leather, clove, vanilla frosting, cinnamon, maraschino cherries. Holy crap the nose on this is breathtaking.

Easily one of the best values out there. It takes all the wonderfully balanced caramel, vanilla, and oak notes of the 101 and cranks it up.

This is essentially your next step for any lover of standard Buffalo Trace. The extra few years and more choice warehouse placement add welcome complexity and flavor intensity. Mellow toasted sugar, cherry, and vanilla give that cozy bourbon feeling. Simply a yummy bourbon that kills considering the price.

This is classic bourbon flavor cranked up to 11. This bourbon makes no apologies and is in your face with notes of cinnamon, vanilla extract, caramel, and tops it off with lovely cherry goodness. It’s not reinventing the wheel in any way, but damn if it didn’t near perfect it.

Very unique bourbon that hits you with a citrus, almost earl grey bergamot note and gives way to a delicate angel food cake and oak. While the finish may be short, it’s a fun journey to get there. Thinner mouthfeel and quick finish is what I would say are the shortcomings of this bourbon. Rumored to be sourced from Heaven Hill and upon tasting I would agree.
