A great alternative to Thomas Handy Sazerac. Big & bold, it brings the cinnamon, while also being well balanced. The malted rye adds a unique, but subtle sweetness. The low rye content makes this a great option for those who might not be as fond of rye, while still having a lot of complexity for the serious rye drinker.74.99 USD per Bottle

Bourbon — Colorado, USA
Reviewed April 17, 2023 (edited June 18, 2023)The small batch is 100 proof. There is also a delicious barrel proof single barrel that starts at 125 proof. Not a Kentucky bourbon: the maltiness makes this a great bourbon for someone who likes Scotch. A sweet bourbon with a lot of complexoty and texture.74.99 USD per Bottle -
Kaiyō Japanese Mizunara Oak Cask Strength
Blended Malt — Japan
Reviewed January 22, 2022 (edited December 6, 2022)I love Mizunara casks - you never know what you are going to get! Most commonly, I find it producing a toasted agave flavor, similar to tequila. In this case, the hint of raspberry on the nose leads to a mild berry jam brings the tequila flair in a black tea direction. At cask strength, this is remarkably smooth. -
The tropical sweetness drive on this cask strength, ex-bourbon whisky stands out. Not sure it’s worth the price tag, but it is delicious. The nose is crisp with apple & honey notes. I even pick up a hint of EH Taylor on the nose. The palate is rich with melon, tangerine, lemon & other tropical fruit. A delight.
