Tastes

I usually steer away from the ryes but this one...this one is delicious! One the nose I get freshly picked apples, Allspice and hints of vanilla pudding. The palate delivers apple crumble, nutmeg, peppercorn, cloves and rye. This rye is perfectly balanced and is the ONLY rye I keep on hand.

This bottle was dumped 04/2018 - Very Disappointed 🙁 On my palate this particular barrel is very bland. No tasting notes except “Oak, Earthy, Dry Leather”. I personally would pass on a bottle from this barrel, but everyone has a unique palate.

One of my favorites! (2010 Bottling) On the palate I get Caramel Covered Dark Chocolate, Vanilla, Toffee and Brown Pears. The finish leaves me with Sweet Tobacco and Charred Oak. Excellent sipper for my palate.

My palate loves EW 1783! Caramel Apple, Smoked Cherries, Rich Tobacco on the front. The finish leaves me with hints of Butter Pecan and Leather.
