I must say that for a 51% ABV whiskey this stuff is quite smooth even without adding water. Wonderful nose. Very impressed, as I have been with every Nikka I've tried.

Very nice caramel nose. Quite different for a rye but very smooth and quite pleasant. Will definitely buy again.

It's more smoky than I expected. Peat is there. Finish lingers as smoke hopefully will grow into it.
